Secrets of Article Speed Writing: Achieving High Thought Velocity

1. Start with a very quiet environment. Lately, I wake up early. So, for me, this is very easy. In the beginning, hearing your thoughts clearly requires quiet. It is the reason monks isolate themselves. It's why Moses went to the mountain. It was the only place to find quiet in the midst of his people and the fact is that this works. One story is that, while on Mount Sinai, Moses wrote the law of the Jewish people. If one human being can think clearly and write a great work, this is proof that others can also do that same thing. It's time for you to get started!
2. Do not allow yourself to be interrupted. Stay focused on relaxing your body and clearing your mind. In the course of daily life we are being exposed to huge numbers of external interruptions. To make this work, you must stop the incoming external interruptions while also stopping your internal interruptions. This takes practice and with practice you can do it more quickly and easily.
3. Sit in the most comfortable chair you have and hold you eyes still. This is critical. The visual cortex of an average adult human brain contains an estimated 140 million neurons. This part of the brain generates interruptions which the conscious mind must deal with. Your goal is to bring all interruptions to a halt, at least temporarily. Pick a point to stare at, or close your eyes.
4. The last step is to invoke on your creative imagination. There are two kinds of imagination, creative and synthetic. Synthetic imagination constructs new ideas from ideas we already have, by assembling them together in new ways. Creative imagination is the source of insight and original ideas. Your goal is to use your creative imagination. The more you engage your creative imagination, the more creative it gets. Use these techniques as I suggest and I promise that you are very likely to be astounded with your results.
5. When you have the quiet environment, are totally and completely relaxed, have a clear mind, then do this. Run one or two subject words thru your mind and then... listen carefully. Every human being with a normally organized brain can do this, so chances are that you can do it. It's amazing what you will hear. Your thoughts will come one after the other. It's a mind state that I call "High Thought Velocity" and it's a critical element of article speed writing. When your mind is in this state, take advantage of it! Write these thoughts down immediately. Don't correct spelling or anything else, just write them without stopping. If you can't type fast enough, use a voice recorder, write longhand or use a voice to text converter. What's important is: do what works best for you. When you get this right, pay attention to what you did. Write that down as well, so that you can repeat it. Do not give up on accomplishing this goal until you have personally documented 10 attempts on 10 different days.
